We now know that Fox, Sony, and Warner Bros are now committing to their superhero slates with confirmed release dates for various film through 2020. As Fox basks in their 2014 glow from X-Men: Days of Future Past, and prepares for Fantastic Four in 2015, the creative team behind X-Men: Apocalypse is hard at work on the script for the highly anticipated sequel. Bryan Singer has returned to social media form and has posted a photo of himself and his writing team of Simon Kingberg, Dan Harris and Michael Dougherty brainstorming at the Mercer Hotel in New York City. Singer slyly gave us a peak at some inspirational artwork (Age of Apocalypse) from someone’s laptop showing us a panel mural of Apocalypse and several other famous mutants.
Harris also posted his own Instagram peek at the how X-Men: Apocalypse is coming along. Harris’s picture appears to be at the beginning of the day (notice that the room is a whole lot less disheveled). Harris also recently changed representation to WME, the same agency as some of his writing partners, and continues his involvement in Fox’s Marvelverse.
X-Men: Age of Apocalypse is due in theaters on May 27, 2016.
